No experience necessary, just a heart to help and serve with compassion.
During the evening session volunteers help with hosting the homeless guests. Making hot drinks, organising bedding and towels, serving a hot meal, socialising with the guests and playing board games etc...
We also have a need for a couple of people to prepare a simple hot meal. All ingredients are provided, but home made cakes always welcome!
We then need 2 or 3 volunteers who will stay the night at the shelter when the other volunteers have left. 1 volunteer needs to be awake in case guests need support, but the vounteers can sleep in rotation.
During the morning session simple breakfast in made, the guests are given their bags back, the shelter is left tidy ready for the evening session.
